what is the best choice sandpaper for sanding a spraypaint job? keep reading about ppl sanding and painting and sanding, but what is a good grit for me to use?

does this mean ppl sand down the xbox prior to painting it?
i washed all plastic with hot water (to remove grease) and just JSRF'd it
came out sweet
haha, jsrf'd it =) yeah, well i heard about sanding before, which i didnt do, but also sanding after every coat pretty much. so i guess ill grab some 1200
i used 1500 grit it smoothes it out perfect with out scratching
