Ive installed many xecutor 2.6's and 3's and had no problem figuring out how to flash a "different" bios from xbins in order to install Slayers Evox Auto Installer, etc...
But with tihs chip I am lost, all i can access is the smartxx menu, and when i put the Slayers disc in, it does nothing.
The Smartxx Bios i found on xbins didnt do anything, in fact its an older version than what came on my smartxx LT OPX.
Anyone know how to get Slayers disc to read so i can install Evox dashboard?
(currently it has Smartxx 3406 bios that came with it)

You can find how to flash your modchip with a hacked BIOS by accessing this

yes i understand that, but the smartxx bios i downloaded from the xbins ftp server called "update_3339.bin" did nothing when i flashed it via web server. i selected Bank 1 (empty) and pressed flash, it did nothing when i booted up the xbox except load the stock bios etc..

That was an OS update for the chip... Go and find yourself something like Xecuter's BIOS and put that into one of the free banks and flash that.
Also it may be worth your while to trip over to SmartXX's website and forums for further info, there are loads of tutorials on thier site.

ok, i did that, i used the xecutor 3 bios "X3 3294 v16plus.bin" (1mb) since this xbox is version 1.6
i flashed via webserver, and when i check the banks, it says "unknown / free ? (1024k)"
what am i doing wrong?
i tried the xecutor 2.6 bios as well "x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin"

I don't know your exact problem but just a note, the X3 bios is for X3 chips only so use X2 for the Smartxx chip you got. I think you might have to make that X2 bios 1MB, theres an App called Xecuter 2 Bios Manager and that allows you resize the bios to 1MB.

What have you done wrong, well firstly you have flashed a 512k BIOS into a 1MB bank... But there is absolutely no need to resize the BIOS itself, instead change the BANK size using the SmartXX menus, why waste an extra 512k of space you can easily use for something else?
While it says 'unknown', you can rename this, it's fine and the chances are it'll work.
Go to the main website and look for the usage manuals, that explains everything:http://www.smartxx.com/forum/attachment.ph...id=424&sid=
