Hi,

I've got a couple of modded Xboxs & I wanna play system link Halo 2 with a couple of 360s.

Because I use the 360s on live they're up-to-date.

The Xboxs have never been online. Is it possible to patch them via FTP so there are no version conflicts?

If not, is it possible to downgrade the 360s temperorily for LAN play?

Just to make things clear:

1) I'm not looking to take the Xboxs online (just system link)
2) I'm not asking for links, just info

Thanks very much in advance.

I wish.. I guess all bungie's efforts are elsewhere, and for good reason.

Thanks for the info.

I was under the impression that there are 3 versions of Halo 2:
  • 1.0 (Stock)
  • 1.1 (Multiplayer Map Pack)
  • 1.1a (Latest)

Will Xboxs with the Map Pack (1.1) work with 360s that have been online (1.1a)?

Thanks again.

There were 2 updates released. The first one takes care of the new maps, and the second autoupdate released was supposed to take care of modders and standbyers and all that.

Just try it out to see. I had to format my hard drive, so I had no updates at all on my xbox, and I was playing system link with my roommate who has all the updates. When I hosted, it was as if his xbox didn't have the updates (plasmas had original long fuse, etc.), and when he hosted, it was as if I had the updates.
This is a "lo-fi" version of our main content. To view the full version with more information, formatting and images, please click here.
