The thing is that you need to find out who REALLY makes the burner. Sony hasn't made their own burners for quite a while now. They outsource to Lite-On and Benq these days. So I would google that model and see if you can figure out what it really is. Anyways provided it can burn D/L discs and set the booktype to DVD-ROM it should do just fine for burning D/L discs.

I have the DRU-710A version and it works great..... biggrin.gif

Yeah, but he has a much newer model and possibly a different manufacturer. Once again these burners are Sony in name only.

my 510a (lite-on) worked great for xbox 1 backups... better for the mother F%$#$^% near $200 i spent on it.

now it sits, collecting dust, while i have a MUCH SUPERIOR 30 dollar 111d.

thanks for the suggestion

when i load up dvd info pro it sees it as a lite-on writer, but the screen that it shows in the guide for changing the booktype looks different and im not sure that its worked.

ive burn about 6 coasters so far and the dl dvds are expensive so i dont really wanna try again until i know for sure its changed...

Don't change the booktype in DVD Info pro. Change it in your program that you use to burn the file to disc. Also what media are you using? You are shooting yourself in the foot if you are using anything but Verbatim D/L DVD+R.

I believe it is possible. To be honest, I have been spoiled as I have always had a Pioneer drive which autosets the booktype to DVD-ROM for you. wink.gif

Use DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 or Image Burn 1.3, use the lite-on tab to set booktype..

I have a sony burner, I have problems too... hehe

I have 5 very good verbatim disks now as coffee costers... Anyway I got my xbox360 from ebay so I have no idea what xtreme version is on my 360 but that all and said I do know which drive I have and no body else is having the same problem.

I have done everthing that is said, the only thing left is ripping out my 360 drive and pluggin it into my PC to see what version flashed.

Hey, pull that sucker out and use it for scans if it is a Lite-On. You will need to set the scan speed at 4x though.
