I paid a guy (at a low price) to install a DuoX2 chip he had in stock and upgrade my HDD w/my 160GB drive.

I paid for the DuoX2, but I'm not sure if I got this or an Xecutor2.

When I boot my XBox (v1.6), it says at the bottom of the screen "Xecutor Rox My Box"

I've not opened the case to see what chip is there. I *did* look at the case, but didn't see any external switches.

Is this normal, or did I get a better chip w/o paying for it?

DuoX2 chip is similarly made to the x2 chip by xecuter, but it cana also use its bios.. usually x2 bios is used. or any 512k bios at that..

So the answer is no, i don't think you got a higher priced modchip.. but its a good modchip overall. thats what I have, and it works flawless !!
