Description
mobileXBMC is a very fast and simple webcontrol to XBMC, and with a lot of features. You can use it on a PDA, Computer and Cellphone (but with Opera Mini on the cellphone (sorry guys, it just couln't find a way to select music, pictures and videos without the ASP script, and I also had to use frameset)). You can use whatever connection you want as long as you can connect to the web withit (wlan, gprs, 3g, umts, or whatever...).

Current functions
- Too many too write here, just try it out for yourself or test it in his demo.


Known bugs
- The left and right trigger remote doesn't work, therefor it isn't added.
- I had to use frameset to remove the OK message from XBMC, somebody got another solution? mail me.
- Both the ASP and the frameset make it impossible to run mobileXBMC on a wap cellphone.


Installation
Extract the .zip file, and drag the "web" folder into the XBMC folder on your XBOX.
Remember to enable webserver in your XBMC settings.


Configuration
You can add and edit the "Launch apps/scripts" meny, by opening "appsmain.html" in f.eks notepad, and either edit one of the links that already is there, or copy one of them and then change it.


Use it
When you're ready, try it by going to http://IP:Port/
Use the port you chosed in the XBMC webserver settings.

Example: http://193.215.150.121:200/

You can find your IP by visiting this page: http://www.whatismyip.com

If you have a router remember to open/route the port of your xbmc webserver

hi.. i want to try out this app.
in the read me it states to put it in the xbmc folder. however, i already have a web folder in xbmc... do i overwrite this folder? or rename the old one?

Hi, you can owerwrite the old one, but then you loose the original one. If don't want to loose the old one you just rename the mobileXBMC web folder before you upload it inside the original webfolder.

And then you go to:

http://IP:PORT/your_mobilexbmc_foldername/

This is awsome man. I havent got it working on my fone yet but i will. I have it set up on my pc............ I can now switch the xbox off from anywhere in my house. I have been pissing off my bro, in the middle of dodgeball i kept turning it off and he didn't know what was going on! AHHAHAHAHAH (very childish)

I'm now trying to get it to work natively on a wap phone, but I have to get rid of the frames and the ASP. If someone have any ideas how to do any of that, reply...

neat idea, 2 bad im in nd, i got rid of my service because they don't have sprint here and service here sux anyways <-----------in the middle of no where

dose this ONLY work 4 opera mini or can i use something else

Hi, for the time now, you can only use browsers who support ASP and frames, sorry, eks. supported, Opera Mini (Almost evry cellphone that support java), Internet Explorer (PDA, PC, Mac, Linux) and Opera (PDA, PC, Mac, Linux)... And every other browser that support it...

Let me know if you find any bugs or have any feature suggestions?

Why is this in the MC360 mods forum?

It sorta goes along with the web interface things we have in here. Except they can be skinned, but technically they would also be in another forum because it doesn't go into the mc360 folder. I probably would have never known about it if it weren't here.

Well, i agree. On the one side it is totally mc360 related, yet not REALLY an mc360 mod, but i wouldn't have known either about it if i didn't come here every day. I'm trying to work on one using OperaMini that still looks like mc360 skin, which isn't TOO difficult to still use. It loads a different page for each click on a different tab, using picture position links in HTML. I just started, so it'll be a while til i'm done.

Thanks this is pefect for my PDA. ^^^^I use the built in IE browser, I dont Know why opra wont work for you.
