As title really. I've just got my XBMC set up and going, everything's great except that the tray keeps going bonkers and opening/closing over and over again. It's driving me mad and my wife nearly threw the cat at it last night

It's making it all but unusable - it's far too annoying to have on in the living room, as it'll do it half a dozen times in a row (in, out, half in, half-out).

I've only had it up and running a few days, using the ** Links to Xbox Warez and Torrents ** Auto-Installer Deluxe after several unsuccessful days trying to use use Ndure, SID and UXE installers. So I've only had the Xbox a week, but it wasn't doing this until XBMC went on. The AID installed T3ch 2006-07-25 as a dash. What I'm saying in a long-winded way is that I'm not sure if it's caused by software or a duff DVD drive.

I'd rather call the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It's not a known or common Xbox fault then, as far as anyone knows? I'll trying sticking a new drive in it.

try another Dashboard or a newer version of xbmc (T3CH-Release).

I upgraded to the latest t3ch, and now the dvd won't open at all. Looks like the dvd drive itself is buggered.

Hadn't expected to be getting inside the case this early in my Xbox noobship, but hey ho...

well I have noticed that my drive will not close sometimes when I press the power button and it will just havg until I push it and then it closes

but sometimes it opens and closes by it self like I could be playing a game from the HD and the drive will open it doesnt do anything but it is really annoying

sometimes when I get up to close it it closes just as I was going to tough it like it kney I was going to do that
