Hi,
i flashed my firmware with the OPA 2.1 (Hitachi v47d) and tried to burn backups on verbatim with a LG and Sasmung DVD Writer (both are newest DVD Writers)......no backup boots !

But today i bought a Pioneer DVR-111D and all Backups now works REALLY REALLY GOOD ! No Tricks needed !

I burned the backups with:

-OEM Firmware 1.09
-OEM Firmware 1.23
-TDB Firmware 1.23
-TDB Firmware 8.19 (flashed to 111L -> to enable labelflash)
-TDB Firmware 8.26 (111L Firmware)

ALL WORKS GREAT WITHOUT PLAYING BITSETTINGS (Bitsettings are auto-set to DVD-ROM)

so true, only Pioneer-111D can burn a backup work on Hitachi 47D (using verbatim media).

Dont know why but it works
