(follow the "Frets on fire" ad)

Maybe it can be a little bit difficult 'cause it was made using OGL and SDL, but its DAMN fun!

This isn't that relevant to this post, but kinda. I was messing with karaoke revolution, and I decided to to splice a headset piece with a guitar jack. ground to ground . hot to the microphone hot. Anyways, this lets me play karaoke revolution with my guitar. Quite hard though unless you have a good ear. But I think it's quite fun and would love a homebrew version of karaoke revolution biggrin.gif ... but this frets on fire thing looks more like a ddr kinda thing. Not sure if anyone will find this relevant, but i've never seen anyone do this. It really is very fun, but like I said, its hard to hear the notes of the singer voice. I'm not that musically gifted though.

If game company could sell a piece like that I've mentioned, just think. They could make a game to teach you how to play scales, riffs, lead, whatever, and it could tell you what your doing wrong. That would rock, but i digress

This game supports importing songs from guitar hero I and II, and of course user created songs etc. This would be awesome to see on xbox!

Ive never played guitar hero...or fret on fire but still would love to see this ported. Plus ive seen custom guitar controllers made for Xbox 360 so a custom controller should be possible.

Welp, I know porting Python and Java is close to impossible on the xbox, but here's a ready-made homebrew for the Wii that's begging to be ported:

Guitar Fun!

Here's the Source

I dunno if anyone's interested, but here's a boost to this dream of mine. (note to anyone attempting: Just start with keyboard support, we'll add in guitars later)

I showed an interest but I have no experience. I'm just a college programmer.

In the other thread I asked about porting. However I dont know what all is needed to port an xbox game.
All I have is a modded xbox. i would take a poke at guitar fun if i just knew where to start and what it might take.
