Well, so as you may know or not, my 360 is without a drive ATM...
So I heard that the Forza 2 demo will be online this week and I would wanna know if it's safe to go online and download it...

there is an easy way to answer this... turn your system on and try it... you think xbox is going to ban you for not having a drive in your xbox? for all they know it could just be faulty.

I was wondering this as well, but figure nobody but the xbox team could possibly know

I've been doing some searching on this one and haven't found any else mentioning this. I've been wandering if you can still sign into xbox live for the movies and communication as long as you don't play a game. Mine has a dvd drive but no key so you can only watch movies with it. I haven't been brave enough to just try because I still have hope for it being fixable.

Funny, I've been reading through old posts off and on all day and just stumbled across the answer in a post on the first page.
