I just saw the commercial for 2fast 2furious and it has that same guy that played the cop in the fast and the furious. Is it a sequel?

please dont let me get into it...first of all i gotta say this movie will be awesome..i didnt really like the plot in the first one because if u take out the cars its garbage same thing for this one...i love cars and thats whats gonna make the movie awesome although i dunno how a viper(the villians car) is gonna loose to a skyline(paul walkers car)...even if it is souped up...but w/e the cars are awesome which then makes the movie awesome...

the villan is a dipshit with alotta money, my neighboor has a 16 foot projector for his theatre that we play games on and i still rape his ass every time we play counterstrike. and i practice on my 27 inch 2.25 ft screen...

Actually, i was under the impression Paul Walker drives a Mitsu Lancer Evo VIII, not a Skyline in the movie. Also, Vin Diesel is NOT going to be in this one...instead some other smart-ass guy is going to be in it, he drives a Mitsu (hmmm... ) Eclipse Spyder in the trailer. How in gods name a 4 cylinder evo is going to beat a viper i have no idea...Skyline is another story. Anyway, it looks like the first...shitty plot, lots of ridiculous action, lots of Nosmobiles...yeah, i'm seeing it opening night

Yes, Vin Diesel is not in this movie. Tyrese is in. Diesel has other projects and plus, its not by the same director as the original so really didn't want in.

oh and if they hook it up the viper must too...a viper is one of the fastest street legal cars on the earth...its not possible it has to be a movie...i stock viper runs about 500 hp under the hood; 0-60 in 3.9 secounds...a skyline stock is 280; 0-60 in 5.1 secounds...do u kno how much money u gotta put under the hood to match those statistics...imagine surpass

all the shots in the first movie including the 2nd movie (i saw only the trailer in a cinema recently) are like cars going fast in a freaking straight line... well i am not a real big fan of drag racing as opposed to real mountain racing or drifting like in japan... now that is way coollleeer than this! ... get some hardcore japanese racing videos and u'll see what i mean..

i would prefer a real story whereby it's about racing as opposed to criminals using fast and 'furious' cars to get attention hehehe...

but what bugged me when i saw fast n furious part 1 is during the climax of the film when diesel and the cop were racing, one supra and one erm not sure what car was that.... they were doing it in a neighbourhood of houses, --- but there weren't any noticeable traffice hehhe... guess it's just movies huh...

one type of car movies i really love and it's freely downloadable is those BMW films ...hehehe those are really cool ..

So? The stock MKIV Supra twin turbo is 320 HP, but the modded one they used in the move (actually, it's single turbo) was over 700 HP.

dude we said skyline plus like we both agree look at the amount of money spent...over 75,000 dollars...the viper is 80,000 dollars or so...so whats the point yea its cheaper but hook up a viper thats already stock 500 horse power and it will spank the supra...so dont bring up cars like that

1. 2 fast 2 furious will be good. So it doesn't have vin diesel...so what! He is overrated anyway - see A man apart for confirmation of this fact.
2. John Singleton is directing the sequel. Yes, the man that brought us Boyz in the Hood and Shaft (the remake obviously). He has more talent in his pinky finger than the guy who directed the 1st fast and furious and XXX.
3. It is a sequel so the cars/racing/everything will be bigger and better.

Sometimes you have to turn off your brain and have a good time with a movie. I mean fast and furious was basically Point Break but with Cars instead of surf boards. Both have dull-eyed, blank stare stars in Keanu and Paul Walker, both had surprisingly effective performances from the antagonists (Swayze and Diesel) as the bad guys you kind of like, a ton of plot holes, ridiculous scenes, etc., and yet I enjoyed both for what they were worth.
I don't think this sequel is going to challenge the intellect in any way, but I think its got the potentinal to be a fun movie.

True, of course. But the relative "anti-quality" of the movie was not the issue; the idiotic dick measuring that accompanies it, of which this thread is a prime example thus far, is what I believe both Dark Schneider and I were criticizing.

Hence my analogy: If you argue about cars models "winning" in movies, you are likely also inclined to argue about pro-wrestlers "winning" in their ongoing soap operas. In both cases, just a trace of a sense of irony would have spared the person a great deal of public mental masturbation.

Think about this. Sure you can get a skyline and mod the hell out of it and get it to what, 700? Then you get a Viper and mod the hell out of that.

But I think the best cars are the sleepers, the cars that take work and time and love to be fast. Not just some import that you just spend and spend and spend on. The trick is doing it with the least money. Anyone rich enough could have the fastest car.

I liked the first fast and the furious but that was because I went into the movie with the expectation that I was going to see a bunch of cool looking cars (I certainly wasn't expecting the world's greatest acting or story line). In my opinion the fast and the furious did deliver a number of stunning vehicles. However I wasn't impressed at all with the line-up of vehicles in the sequal "2fast2furious". I mean the skyline is cool and all but very few cars in there live up to the vehicles in the first movie. The plot in the second one seems to be modeling itself after Fox's lame ass series "FastLane" (which is kind of funny seing as how fast lane was a spin-off of the first "Fast and the Furious". I am going to see the movie but I am keeping my expectations very low.

I would have to say Fast and the Furious was one of the most hilarious movies I have ever seen. "Run, the non-flammable NOS is about to explode!" Granted, I did watch it DivX with no music, but still, c'mon, are we that stupid and ignorant that that is entertaining?

...It is one of the most overdone movies I've ever seen. Yes, NOS has enough pressure to blow the back off a car if the bottle got hit with gunfire, but it IS nonflammable. I also enjoyed the multiple references to 10 second drag races, but the actual races in the movie (namely the first one) were minutes long...paul walker has enough time to hit 3 stages of nitrous...and his floor drops out from under him? What the hell?

Still i agree with daryl...this is mindless entertainment at its finest. Throw it in your DVD player, fire up the subs and crank the volume. If you want an intelligent action movie, watch Minority Report, the Matrix, a Bond flick, etc...not the FnF

american pie 3 is coming out soon as well.............
