I have got Linux for xbox and i am connected to the net with it.
I was just wondering if it needs virus protection and internet security software

virus protection is hardly needed for linux, and internet firewall protection isn't needed if you are running behind a router, and is hardly needed anyways...

Virusses, do not target linux much because that'd be targetting a minority, and a mostly technical minority at that,

It will ussually come with a firewall closing all open ports, which is still never 100% secure, but behind a router nobody is going to get past it unless you post on the web somewhere "I bet nobody could hack this linuxbox"

Also xbox-linux would be too slow with virus protection anyways :)
