Hey I am making my very first backup (Madden 07) Using wxripper method. It seems as though I have no errors for the first part Yeah!! but now Im to the part where I am suppose to merge them, all the data is filled in and this is what I got, ss file md5 has some numbers and letters from my freinds ss, I have the hitachi so I had to obtain ss from him (ntsc) anyway that box is red and the required ss file md5 is blank and red and has nothing in it at all. Im figuring that this is because its a new game maybe and there is no info on the database for this ss. So I proceed to hit the merge and create button and it takes only a split second and says that its ready to burn. Seems a little to quick so I am hesitant to make a coaster. any thoughts from u pros shure would be nice. thanx. oh and sorry if I broke any rules while mentioning the way I obtaind the ss.

Ok I made another backup (pgr 3) using wxripper method and same exact things as before, no errors while ripping (btw using gladiator 4 the intial disc recognition) but then I get to ss merger and there is no info for the disc and red on my ss file md5 and so on. another thing I noticed is that both of my games ended up with a file size of 3.64 gigs? seems low to me. when all is done im left with a dvd file 1k, a bin image 2kb, and an iso at 3.64. Im not going to waste my time burning these to disc cause I know I did somthing wrong but I dont know what!!!!! Any ideas????

Well for those of you still reading this post just to let you know I have figured out my error. I tried to use a USB dvd drive to rip the games and it just wasnt gonna happen. I was hoping to avoid ripping into my pc and having wires everywhere, oh well. any way I did manage to make a backup and it worked great. thanx 4 the help
