Reported over on Kotaku there is an image of Assassin's Cread producer Claude Langlais standing in front of a 360 dev unit running the 'PS3 exclusive' E3 Demo at Leipzig.

So it would seem that it is indeed true that it is headed to 360.

Florian from Kotaku said they were there and that it would seem that it is indeed running on a 360.

please please please provide a link mate, (to kotaku) cause Ive already read one massive bitch fight over this picture, and I don't want another. No offense intended at all mate.

- In fact Im going to make the points first, so no one else can start an arguement:

1. photoshop yes is a real possibility, but that doesn't mean its not real.
2. neither xbox is on; good point, but there could be another on the left.
3. could be a PS3 on the left of the left hand tv, but then again it could be a Wii, so lets not let this degrade like the kotaku comments section. Its inconclusive and nothing will prove any GUESSES.

Its a crap photo that proves nothing. What proves something is the phrase 'Project Assassin'. Why would a company create a game on the 360, then port it, then dump the original. Thats just burning money.

And you're right it proves nothing but it's certainly interesting and yet another step towards knowing what's going on with this title.

I saved this pic and opened it up in a hex editor. Nowhere can I find it's been done in photoshop. the begging of the hex code says it was saved using gd-jpeg v1.0 IJG JPEG default quality.

Plus, there is no way to tell if the light is on/off (indicating that the power was off).

I was just stating all the crap arguements from the thread i saw in one post to try and prevent any useless bitching about it - but that (i guess ) is a useful find.



I have to admit zooming in was a bit bolocks, but as above - someone else claimed to do it so i assumed they put more effort into looking than me In anycase, like I said arguements for it being true are unecessary- ubi wouldn't throw away money by porting a game then hiding the original

I don't know, I haven't even seen this game running with real time in game, gameplay.
It's just been a bunch of videos, so it doesn't really matter on what type of hardware it's been running on.

But as far as the game not coming out for the X360,
I haven't seen any news anywhere suggesting that the game is a PS3 exclusive.
Of course, it hasn't been confirmed for the X360 either.
But judging from Ubi's relationship with M$ and their dedication to multiplatform games,
I expect an X360 version of the game to come out at some point....

it was not running on the 360. ubisoft was showcasing RSV and another game (maybe EA) on the 360 and AC was being shown off of a computer not shown in the picture

AC looks nice, but I can live without it jsut incase it is a PS3 exclusive. It seems a little easy. Pretty much Hitman, but no one has a gun, thus running away is easier.

I was checking IGN around 10:15pm and the main story was "You knew it was coming to 360"

the page froze up on me, I refreshed and it was taken down!

maybe they released the news 2 early but Im sure it'll be announced soon enough

Ubi never said the game was a PS3 exclusive....

Yeah we all knew this was coming, and its sick that its to coincide with the Ps3 version, but it does is raise further questions!

All I can think is that somehow Sony fell out with Ubi. Why go from openly developing the game on the 360, to 'only Ps3' announced, if they hadn't somesort of deal with Sony? Which leads me to think now that something went wrong.
Any thoughts?

really dont know how this would surprise anyone, its been one of the worst kept secrets in the gaming industry.

not to mention that around X05, the game was already announced for the 360 (and ps3) under the code name "project assassin".

it would seem that there was only an "announcement exclusive" to try to bring some interest/demand for the ps3.

steps ever so slightly closer to cancelling his PS3 pre-orders.

just ebay it you'll at least break even with the shortages. it won't be a sony marketing plan as there legitimately is a shortage on the blue laser diodes (used by blueray and HD-DVD).

come'on man! don't believe that bullshit... console shortage are part of the launch. it IS a marketing plan all over again

I had the PS2 article for years from when sony announced that they would only ship 500k PS2s, cut from the 1 or 2 million that they had hoped for. I still have it somewhere at home I think..

well, the blue laser diode is legitimate, as its impacting HD-DVD as well. regardless of wether sony has any additional marketing plans that will cause shortages, there will defintely be one, and ebay will be fetching a pretty hefty price.
