Hello,
I've a samsung drive patched with extreme 2.0 and all works fine.
When I did the dirty job, I created a boot disk that I've tried to reuse right now.....
The problem is that trying to read/write the firmware (I tried toread in order to check if it works) it hangs... nothing happens. I've an Asus A8-NE SLI (nf4 chipset) and I use the mtkflash that comes with firmware 2.0

Recentry I've upgraded from AMD A64 3200+ to AMD X2 4200+, can it be dual core the cause???

Thanks in advance, bests

This happened to me, I made a new disk & changed the SATA cable used.....I doubt that changing to dual core would cause any problems
Textbook
I'd say it's a bad floppy. Try using USB or NTFS hard drive and NTFSDOS CD.
