Full Version: Xbmc- Trouble With Daap Itunes Sharing

I'm not being able to connect to ITunes and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

A ) I have the path IP address in the DAAP bookmark in XBoxMediaCenter.xml set up correctly
(<bookmark>
<name>iTunes Network Share (DAAP)</name>
<!-- only use an IP address here !-->
<path>daap://192.168.0.100</path> <-- my computer)
B ) ITunes has been told to share nicely and
C ) I have no firewalls up.

I get a "Remote Share; Could not connect to network server" error.
I'm running a recent build (XBMC 1.1.0, compiled July 25 2006), ITunes 6 for Mac, through a wireless router.
Any thoughts? I couldn't find any insight from the older threads on similar topics.

--------a tad later-, edit:------

Oh, sheesh, I had to go into SOURCES.XML in UserData and change the bookmark there to that IP address. Never mind-- perhaps this will help someone in the future.
Thanks for reading!

screw doing it like that! do you have samba set up? if so, just go on your computer and share the itunes folder. then go into xbmc and into music section and hit the white button and add source and set the path to the itunes folder and bam your done. it is what i did and it works better that way.

The XBMC Wiki says that iTunes 7 music sharing is not supported currently by XBMC.

Don't upgrade from iTunes 6 to iTunes 7 if you want it to keep working!
