The Matrix mod chip is SO annoying. You can't take your box anywhere. I tightened the chip down as itght as it could go, and this damn thing always moves! Sometimes I have to bang it and hit it hard to move the chip for 15 minutes before I can play!! Once I get it to work, I can't move it or it will mess up again! Are there any other chips out there that don't require soldering? E.g. plug in to an IDE or something? I have a 1.0 XBOX with a Thompson DVD drive. Any info would be useful.

Well, your using a chip that was made in oh, 2002 or so. Yes they sucked. The idea was cool but didnt work well so we moved on. Solder the pin to the d0, or get another chip.


Buy an aladdin or some other cheap lpc chip and your problems will vanish. If you pay more than 12$ your getting ripped off.
