Hi i have Verbatim DVD-R DL. Problem is with my backup im getting dirty disc error. Just wondering if it is only DVD-R DL that work.

Nah i tried Verbatim DVD-R DL on v3.3 and it dint work but wack in a DVD+R DL and away she goes.

DVD-R will *never* work because Xbox 360 games use a custom layerbreak. The +R standard lets you set a custom layerbreak, -R does not.

D/L -R does have the option for Layer Jump Recording, however in practice it hasn't worked out as well as it has claimed. The bottom line is that the format by nature is less compatible and not nearly as well supported as D/L DVD+R. Not to mention that it is always more expensive and I have yet to find it in more than quantities of 3.
