I was wondering if theres any way to hook up my MP3 player through a USB port on my xbox without putting windows or linux on my box, looked thru the tuts, but it didn't say anything about it recognizing USB devices.

Wouldn't work. Xbox does have drivers to handle your MP3 player.

Well, was worth a try, just ran out of USB ports on my compy and didn't want to buy a hub, oh well.

it might see it and format it for fatx and screw up your mp3 player, but still be able to ues it for a memory card. it also might just mess it up. who knows.

if you got smb up and runnin just share your mp3 player over the network, works for me!!
