I'm planning to get my Xbox modded but I have only a CD burner, no DVD burner. Is there any use to get it modded then? There are releases split to multiple CDs, right?

Most of the games there is a dvd rip (CDR version) and there are some that have been released on mulitple cd's so you should definately still get the mod chip.
The bigest problem is that CDR's take too long to load. I have given up burning CDR's as i hate waiting......

Well if loading times are the only concern then there's no problem...one waits for an hour for a game to load if it is good enough. As I have done so many times on C64...oh memories. =)
