Well this is almost a full skin mod. I've added a new System Home, Memory, and an Internet window.
In the Internet window you will now find
Live Marketplace (Thanks to manturafs for a kick ass mod)
Movie Trailers
Game Trailers (Whenever the script gets finished)
Weather
LinksBoks (Its just a link. You will need to get it yourself and install it)
Mimesis (Its just a link. You will need to get it yourself and install it)
Plus room for four more buttons

The new System Blade you will now find
Console Settings (A link to the old System Blade)
Memory (A new window where the Game Saves and File Explorer are now)
Scripts
DVD2XBOX (A script that lanches dvd2xbox. You will need to get it yourself. Thanks to Jezz_X)
Clear Cache (A script for clearing your temp drives. Thanks to Dirka for his mod)
Think I might throw Profiles here also. Just have'nt yet
Plus room for four more buttons

The Xlink Kai Games button was moved to the Games Blade to make room for the Internet button. This still leaves room for another button on the Games Blade. And there is still room for one more button on the Media Blade. Well two button if you use the homebutton-6a.png and move everything up.

I've reworked alot of the anamations.
One little thing is when you switch blades the image on the left blade no longer slides. This is how the 360 is.
Also the White Overlay in the middle now zooms in and out of submenu's like the 360.
I know that does not sound like much, but it took alot of work.

Like I said this is a WIP I still have a ton of centering for lables, icon, and other stuff. Still need to make description lables for alot of buttons. This mod will also fix the scrolling from the top up to the bottom and from bottom down to the top. I know that sounded funny, but it's for when you push up on Games button it will now go the the DVD button. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting also. Well enough rambling. I dont have any screen shots yet. If someone want's to see a blade or window I will post it later, but for now I would like to show you a VIDEO. All comments and suggestions are welcome. I really wanna know what everyone think of this so far.

P.S. Thanks to Blackbolt and team for eight or so months of hard work. I love this skin. I know i got a few idea's for other mods done before. So if you feal like I took something you already did well thanks for your work.

awww man, this is sweeeet. i love the system blade idea too. internet is not a bad idea either. overall it seems you cleaned up the interface. it'll take awhile to really now how the feel is i think.

Right now the free space labels do not slide over like the button labels do. Thinking of making them slide also. Also I think I may add free space for C drive on the game saves button. Think it would even things out.

Also JeffyLube0 if you change the xbmc live and not the games blade you will not have a direct link to xlink kai games. Not that you need it, because once you get into the Kai blade you can switch to games.

And some thing I didn't say before was. I have a 360, and alot of the changes I made was to give it more of the 360 layout/feel (hey I spelled feel right this time he he) thats why I made the system home blade and the memory window. Along with some of the animation (damn I guess I just needed more beer to spell correctly) changes I did was to get the 360 feel. Also if you didn't notice the XBMC Live button on the live blade was left open for when Team BB introduces there marketplace. I'm not sure if manturafs marketplace will go down at that point or not. This just gives the option for both. Also this opens up the skin for many more buttons/mods for ppl to add themselves.

Well I've rambled on long enough once again, but I've spent about two weeks on this so far. And I've been on vacation for the last week. So I've really been working alot on this. Now next week I have to go back to hell. oh wait work, and still pickup my son from school and soccer games/practice. Also maybe working ten hour days. Oh boy oh boy great fun. So not alot of time to spend playing around.

Oh, and on a side note. MC360 made me use XBMC as my default dashboard. It also got me to understand how the skins work. The only other mod I did for an XBMC skin was to add your IP to the home blade. That i got from a tutorial. So once again thank you TEAM BB for eight or so months of hard work. I love the skin. Found it easy to pick up on. Just wanted it to fit ME better.

A smalll sugg: A lil smoother & slower Top/Bottom bar zooming while goin' in/out of a sub window would be great!!

I think i'll have 2 mc360 skins. this one, and my custom one (this being my default one of course) great job. i love the look of it. damn this must have taken you a long time. any possibility of color icons in the future???

Well thanks for the positive feedback and your suggestion. Your post HERE is what inspired me to do the animation in and out of submenu's. And now your feedback has made me redo it.

A few thing though. The video that I posted first was captured with a low frame rate to keep the size down. Making it a bit jurky but allowed for a better pic. Also I never thought going into a submenu looked that bad, but backing out of one looked bad. So I have tried to fix that. And I really dont want to slow things down (just makes the wait longer). So this tries to fix backing out of a submenu. There is still a small pause that I could not get rid of, but it smooths it out I think.

Also I've Added the C drive free space on the gamesaves button (looks much better). Still need to make the free space label's slide though (looks funny the way I have it right now). And to be honest some of the overlays looked discolored (well I am really shocked it was never slammed just for that). I don't think it's a perfect match, but almost.

Any idea when this will be ready for download?

Well I'm getting closer. I've been working on getting things positioned properly (about half done). I'm having issues with moving things in the python scripts. I don't know python so any help would be great. I still need to make description labels, finish the dvd scrolling issue (for when you push down when your on the dvd button), clean up the changes I've made (theres alot of code I never took out I just placed <!-- and --> before and after some code so it would not show up). Also would like some new icons for LinksBoks, Mimesis, Memory, Dvd2xbox, Clear Cache, and File Explorer. I'm no good with making icon so if any one would like to help that would be great also (would like them to be like the rest no color).

And well I forgot that I had a mod on it already. I plan on leaving it in though so it wont take time but i never mentioned it in my first post. It's a variation of a mod a did a while back. Clear Video Background but this has the overlays left in so you can still read the menu's. Heres a small 2.3MB VIDEO of that.

So I have alot to do still. And any help on what I mentioned would really help out.

Well I would like to thank everyone who has posted a reply. It helps to see that some people like it.

I finished porting my WIP to the latest build of MC360. Still need to finish it though. Also I need to get ahold of manturafs to help with the python scripts. I could really use his help.

I've also received a pm from another member who would like to combine this mod and his mod to make a killer mod, but I'm not sure what it is. So I still need to reply to him and find out what its all about.

And well this is a long shot I feel but, I'm not happy with the custom whitewash overlays I've made. And it would be great if Blackbolt could make the custom whitewash overlays for me then it would be done right. All he would have to do is pm me. It would only take him probably 10 mins to do. But he does have enough to do as it is. Just thought I would try.

Anyway this should be out soon.

well for thosewho are waiting for this I havnt had much time to work on it. Then XBMC 2.0 along with a new version of MC360 came out. And I think MC360 v1.0 will become out soon also Ive been holding off on it until then. I guess if enough people would like it now I could release what I have but, its not done. There will be bugs along with the movie script not working (its the version I've last worked on still has the fail to parsize or what ever it is). Well let me know if you want it or wait untill MC360 v1.0 is out then I'll finsh it up and release it.

Well I'm not sure if you mean help me by adding it into MC360 v1 or team BB adding it into MC360 v1. That I feel wont happen. Because this started almost a month ago and as of yet no one from team BB has even made a reply on this. Dont get me wrong it would kick ass (in my opinion) if they would. Then my shitty custom overlays would be made by BB and look like the rest. It just seems that they dont like any mod I've made in the past and normally leave very negative replys. But with that said I am releasing my work so far. Just remember it's not finished and has bugs in it. Lets just hope MC360 v1 comes out soon. also I've added in options to disable clear video for thoughs who dont want it and a disable overlays for the custom themes that dont have them becuase this mod has 2 custom overlays that would still show up in a few windows.

So I hope you all enjoy what I've done so far. This is MC360 v0.98748 and I'm using XBMC 9-13-06. It is the full skin so do a fresh install of it.

If you try it with 0.99 you are gonna get alot of bugs. Alot of things have changed, code wise scince the last build.

All I can say is perfect! I donot see any need for official whitewashes[It wud be better tho!]
The blinking animation is just what I wanted forever, now it is true.

Quick Report: The left blade runners seems to be bit messy/ missing some frames??.

The only problem i had with the .99 was that the dvd2xbox didnt work and when downloading a theme it frezees on "Unzipping theme..."
But evrything else works

Note: To those who are using this mod, For better performance & Memory optimisations, Simply replace the Textures.xpr / Glass.xpr /Carbon.xpr from this mod with one ones that come from official v.99b release. You are done.
Your MC360 will be as close to a real 360 as it can be yet as flawless as the latest MC360.

I have tested this mod and... great work so far. Thanks ventline , the animation is superb, also all "new" features in the system blade are great again thanks for sharing your beta with us.
Now more people must look into this and perhaps Team Blackbolt see your fantastic work. Why not? This would make mc360 a littlebit better and more 360ish.
Also people who wanted the purple background on the file explorer should test this and give it a try.

Actually if you apply this mod to your 0.99 version it would actually downgrad it to the previous version, cause the PAL folder is the heart of the skin.

I was thnking about doing some of the stuff from this mod, but I will atleast wait until 1.0 to get here before doing alot more work into my mod.

Remove everything which doesn't relate to [Whitewash animation and the changes in the System Blade] inclding XBMC Live Marketplace and then repost the mod.

It makes it difficult to go through yar engineering!

I updated this mod for MC360 0.99b. I also fixed as many bugs as I could find(there were a fair amount). Hope everyone enjoys it. Works in 4x3 and 16x9.
