In the last 3 years I have lost alot of money because games BREAK or get terribly SCRATCHED.
I also got my car broken into and had a couple of games in a cd folder and that got stolen.

I can't afford the new Xbox 360, so I'll stick to my old Xbox. I want to back up my games.
What is the cheapest way to do that.
How do I mod it.
I was looking into buying a chip, but I don't know which one to buy.
What CHIP do I buy ?

Lets just start with those basics, help me out. What do you guys recommend.

I would just do a softmod, its safer, easier and cheaper

Get a Duox2 chip ($10), solder it in, FTP between your PC and XBOX, backup your hardrive, download and install AID.v3, and go from there. All this info can be found in the FAQ. Good luck, and welcome to X-S.

If you want just dvd backups of your games i'd definately softmod. If your lookin to upgrade ur hdd i'd do a chip install.
