Ive installed a few xbox modchips before and I was wondering if the psp modchip is that much harder? Thanks for any replys

Yes, it's extremely difficult to install, ever installed an early PS2 Mod chip?, think that, then think a hell of a lot harder.

The traces are very small, much much smaller then the d0 point on an Xbox and they are very close together. Heres an idea for you.

Thanks alot for that! Im pretty confident that I can do it but im going to wait until I get some money saved up because I dont even have a psp

That could be a decent starting point. Anyway, yeah its not impossible just take your time, be careful, not just with the install, but also with the reassembly of the PSP, its quite easy to damage the screen or get it dirty. (in which case it will look like its covered in dead pixels)
