The problem is, I soft-modded my xbox (1.0) and thought that the PBL was an actual bios flasher, but rather it just loads a bios in memory while still keep the original MS one intact. Btw, I did solder the two bridges (TSOP) to make the bios writable, so I thought I was home free. Turns out, I didn't quite know what a PBL is, and once I got evox running I decided to FTP over ConfigMagic and for what reason I have no idea UNLOCK my xbox HD. Moving on in the story, when I rebooted, MS bios is still there and uhp, I get a call service screen. Later I read that if the MS Bios is still there, and you have an unlocked HD, that is the reason. Unfortuntely, I was dumb enough to fiddle with this without making a backup of the eeprom too.
So my question is, if I build an eeprom reader (like the one llama made), and recover the Unique Xbox HD Key, can I relock my HD using it so I can get back to where I started? My thought is, build the reader, obtain the eeprom.bin and HD Key and use some nifty PC or XBOX Software (I have another XBOX that is modded successfully and has an xecuter2 bios installed) to RE-LOCK the HD and then the Xbox will boot again, and then I can softmod again and do the BIOS flash right. Will that work?
Thanks
