Ok, I finally got the new Duo X2 (white) chip installed and flashed the bank 1 with Xecuter 2 4981.06 bios.

I have followed the Xbox back up guide for Qwix.

Do I need something else installed on the xbox for it to play backups?

Xbox 1.5
Duo X2 white chip
X2 4981.06 bios

A dashboard.... Evox/Avalaunch/UnleashX/XBMC.... take your pick.
Breath of Fire
EvoX and XBMC are the best.

I've decided to go with Exolution X build 3935. I read the tutorial about installing the dash with the help of an ISO making rogram and using nero to burn. Burning disk as I type.

So I should have my Xbox already hooked up to my pc when I install the disk. Once the disk loads the dashboard, I should Backup both C: and E: drives. After that, I can putz around with the skins, setting and whatnot.....Is this correct?

I will wait for a eresponce before I try it.

Thanks for the help!

A lot of people say this, but forget that EvolutionX is easier to configure to the demands of the end-user, compared to Xbox Media Center. In fact, it's even easier to configure than Avalaunch or UnleashX. The fact that no updates are released anymore guarantees that a configuration will always work in the future. It's the perfect dashboard for beginners who want to create their own menu's.

In my opinion, the only thing that EvolutionX misses is support for the temperature sensors of the 1.6/1.6b.

That doesn't say that XBMC isn't great as a dashboard. I once switched over from EvolutionX to Xbox Media Center, just because I use my Xbox more for movies and less for other stuff.
