Ok guys, heres the problem, i just inserted a VT6421L pci card into my computer, I connected my Samsung drive to it, booted my properly made bootdisk, with the exception of xtreme008.bin on it, but i edited the xtreme32.bin properly, first with 4000-4200, then with 4000-4400, in either case, it will boot originals fine, but when i go to boot the backup it says, "to play this disc insert it into an xbox 360 console", here is another weird problem, when i boot my pci it says Hardware initialize failed! bios need not be installed, press g to continue, when i press g i get the A:\ prompt which still let me back up my orig.bin (which was 64 kbs on my A:\), after that i flashed it, after it gave me the same error. I'm using a pioneer 111d external DVD burner, i tried a Memorex and a Fuji dual layer, both gave the same xbox error, im wondering if im not flashing the xbox correctly or if its the media im using, can someone please help!
thanks

booted my floppy again, it's still letting me update my firmware, i updated to xtreme 3.3, it read all the way to 100, then told me to reboot my machine, i rebooted, played an original game fine, but still will not boot a backup. The sata card is still saying hardware initiate error, but then starting my floppy right afterward, also asking if i want to choose master or slave, i chose master, and it loaded, i cant understand why it wont boot a backup. Im using a pioneer, i even updated to the TBD's latest external version, I'm also using the lastest version of CloneCD, can someone PLEASE HELP!

Your original bios dump is 64 kbs as i read it but should be 256kb as mine all are

From the sounds of it. It sounds like you are using MTKflash incorrectly to backup you orig.bin. Follow the tutorials on xbox-scene. it also sounds like you may have lost your orig.bin. since it is only 64kbs. Do you have the drive key anywere? You should be able to view this by looking at your orig.bin using KDX 1.5 or newer. You may have to backup the current firmware that is on your drive to get it. Hopefully you have this.
To my experience once you open the folder you downloaded containing xtreme 3.2 or 3.3 copy a copy of you orig.bin not the original as you want to keep this file in a very safe place or in mulitple places because if you lose your drive key it is all over for you. But anyway once you copy the orig.bin to the folder containig xtreme firmware you run the make x32.bin and this creates x32.bin in the folder. You then put that file on your boot disk or usb drive and flash it to your drive using MTK Flash.
Also within the folder if you got it from a creditable source there should be a read me file that would explain this too.
Anyways
Good luck.
