hi i was wondering if the original xbox uses an ide interface or a sata interface. i know the 360 uses a sata, which i assume is a 3.0gb/s. but does the original xbox use an ide. also if it is an IDE interface is at an ATA100 or ATA133. although it wouldn't really matter since you can still use an ATA133 even if you MB only supports ATA100, it's just ATA100 is alittlle cheaper so i would buy an ATA100 if that is all the MB supports. thanx everybody

The onboard IDE supports up to ATA66, but will be limited to ATA33 due to the DVD drive being the slowest device in the "chain". So it really does not matter what drive you get but if it isnt lockable you will need a chip for the xbox to be functional.
