Do i edit all accounts o the AMERICAN.GXT file in order to change names and so forth - like vehicles and cities or towns and what not.. or how do i work this? NO TUTORIAL I HAVE FOUND HAS MADE ANY SENSE....

the link contains a tool that edits gta sa gxt file, and probably a decent how-to guide in the link.
it's real easy, didnt need a guide when i got this tool.

if still unsure, here's my guide:

i want to change the name "banshee" to "viper" in gta sa so i
1/ open sa gxt editor (duh)
2/ open sa's american.gxt file using the gxt editor (o rly?)
3/ click "edit" then "find"
4/ type "banshee" in the find box, then hit "find next"
5/ when it's found, change "banshee" (the word after the codes '$BE49095B=' in the biggest section) to "viper"
6/ save
done.

sometimes there's afew same words in american.gxt, probably "los santos", u can change 'em all to "los angeles" or whatever.
