Shouldn't be too hard. Take the cover of the dvd drive. Look how the laser sit's on the rail, usually a screw or clip holding it in. Remove that and unhook the cable to the laser. Now with the new laser, and although I haven't done any 360 lasers yet, every replacement laser I have ever gotten for XBox, PS2, GC, has a solder point that has to removed prior to installing the laser. They do this to protect the coils from from static, etc during shipping but if you don't remove the solder blob, the laser won't work, so look for a solder blob.

I bought my laser lens from foundmy.com. I installed it and it works now, thank god, haha. and yes there is a solderpoint on this laser too that you have to remove! very simple. i thought it would be harder than what it was!

Just curious but does the samsung have a lot of problems with the laser going out?

From my two experiences, YES! First time it went out i was under warranty, so i sent it in, but the last time i had to fix it!
