I got an Hitachi 46DH drive. And I have flashed it with the freshest OPA out. The 2.1, 1.3 7in1 version.

I am considering trying the Birdy one because it supports more burners (tho I am aware of its brickmaking chances)

What is the best practice for flashing from OPA to Birdy?

A :
1. Restore.bat to restore old firmware
2. Reboot Xbox and/or windows?
3. Flash new firmware

B :
1. Restore.bat to restore old firmware
2. Flash new firmware

C:
1. Flash new firmware

I always go with route B.

Actually it's better with OPA/Birdy to just write over an older version of Xtreme, the newer fw flashers don't seem to favour stock drives.

So for the purpose of this thread I would go with C.
