Just got myself a sh-d162c and flashed it with kreons alternative firmware. This done i rebooted and inserted my xbox 360 game I opened up schtrom v2.1 and the tasks are missing i see the drive but when i need to select the task there is a blank drop down box. I tried using backup creator and as soon as i hit read i get the following read error
Action: read security sector
Sense error /5/30/02
UNKNOWN ERROR
CDB: READ DVD STRUCTURE
0xAD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 01 C0 00 00 00 00
Not sure what this means so any help would be great cheers.

Sounds like you're trying to read from a backup. Use your orig disc.

Hardware:
Samsung SH-D162C TS04 (firmware Kreon 0.81)
When I try to make a backup of a original game I get an error when the program is trying to get the security sector, allways. I tryed XBox Creator, Schtrom, Drive_Tools_v1.2, all... same problem.

I had a similar problem when i first did it. Reflashing the drive sorted it for me.

Disc isn't scratched, is it? I had one game that wouldn't back up with either program, and it was because the disc was too scratched
