How can I set up FlashFXP to transfer files to my friend's computer over the internet? Is it as simple as we both open up the program and type in each other's IP addresses or what? I don't want to make him download it if I'm not sure I know how to do it, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

NO, you have to install a FTP server and open port 21

You have to be running an FTP
SERVER application on one end to be able to connect to it remotely. Check into Filezilla, its a freeware open source FTP app, available in both client and server variants.

I prefer to use ServU FTP server. It does cost money but I think you can still use almost all the features in the trial after it expires other than you have a limit on the number of user accounts you can create.
Also not a bad idea to use a dynamic DNS to hide your IP addy (not too necessary if it's just your friend logging in).

Moving to the PC section since this is not Xbox related.

Got it working! Thanks very much, and sorry about the wrong category... man I feel like an idiot. I'm just so used to going to the newbie forum that I went there without thinking.
