Ok, i want to flash some new bios to my v 1.0 Xbox (M8plus_16 bios preferably). I know that i can do the whole TSOP thing, but I just want to free up the extra 70 GB on my 200 GB harddrive. IS there any way around having to solder. I have the most recent EVOX and know how to FTP and all that good stuff. Thanks for any help.

You can't "flash" a bios to a softmod. the softmod is on the hard drive, to flash a bios you need a TSOP flash (not 1.6) or a chip. You are getting confused somewhere.

So I guess this means no extra 70 Gb without some hardware work? Cool, either way im happy. Thanks!

No you can still softmod and have the extra 70GB but it will mean redoing the drive again.

You can get CASH Ver 1.1 to redo the drive with Krazie's Ndure. It will allow you to go with the .06 option to enable the rest of your drive for F or to go with the .67 option to make a G drive with the other 70gigs.

It is pretty easy to use and CerealKilla did a great job with the upgrade to Ver 1.1.
