Hello all...
Can someone help????
I have modded a v1.6 box with a xenium ice chip with os v2.3.1... m1.6 bios (have also tried the bios for the v1.6 box) and I have several games that I have come across that will not load... the freeze at varying spots during game load... I have tried them from the evox dash and from the orig xbox dash.... no difference. I know they worked before the mod... I do have games that play just fine... I have also tried dumping the games on the hd and the result is the same...
I have cleared the cache... no help....
Any thoughts...

Have you checked the game backup forum to see if anyone else has had similar problems with the games that you are having.

Does the drive cache correctly? It could be the drive is going bad.

wierd... try ripping the games on your computer then transfering them to the xbox. if this works then your problem could be related to your dvd drive. if not, then keep looking.

I've got the same problem - tried clearing UDATA and TDATA but doesn't work.
Games just hang on loading them up.
Am interested to find out what this is. I re-formated the hard drive and they haven't loaded since.
Also got Xenium OS 2.3.1.

These are original games.... they should load and work fine.... they were working just fine before the mod was done... there are some games that work just fine after the mod... so the mod has been done right... it is making no sense to me.... I really would like some help... direction to figure this out... so I can get this box to my friend and they can stop bugging me for it.....

If your system clock is corrupt, that could be your problem.

Has it got a bigger HDD in it?

I am calling hardware failure.
Either your DVD drive is dying or your xbox is overheating.
I personally think it is probally the DVD drive.
If not try cleaning out your xbox and getting rid of the dustbunnies. Or check to make sure that the rear fan is plugged in and operating.
First easy to do fix is clearing your cache. Delete the contents of the E:\CACHE folder and all the files in the X Y and Z partiions.

yes it has a bigger hd in it... I put a 40 gig in... it is a brand new box.... and as I mentioned above... the games I am referring to.. worked fine before the box was modded... and there are some games that work just fine.....I have tried clearing the cache... will try again and make sure the other partions are clear...

HI Willow,
Unfortunately I can't offer any help, as I am experiencing the same kinda problem.
I would say I am fairly ok at modding xboxs, have done so many times.
But here I have 2 xboxs, same bios's, same mod chip, same xbmc's but different HD's. My first xbox boots any game, no probs. but my recently modded xbox has probs booting a few, not all, only a few, tries to load, then just returns to dash. And it's doesn't matter which dash i try, same error.
As mentioned both xbox's a repractically the same, but different HD's. and same game back ups.
What else can I check besides, the cache.
This one xbox is posing to be a littel bugger.
Thanks
Leaftree
