Hello everyone! I'm currently trying to improve my Photo Shop skills by editing some pictures and making abstract art from scratch. I was wondering if you guys would be willing to give me some feedback as to how I could make these better. The following links are to the pictures on DeviantART. They are a bit big so I didn't want to put the images in the forum it self.

This is one that I made with someones screen shot of their desktop. I ended up doing quite a bit to it (like get rid of the icons first, desaturated, colorize the eye, color the background, etc etc).
Tiësto

Here's an example of one that I made COMPLEATLY from scratch. I used Inkscape to make the curves as vectors first, then imported them into Photo Shop and colorized them. Each ray has 2 sets and there are 4 total unique sets spikes total just flipped around and added with a different color.
The Inside

If you have a DeviantART account would you be so kind as to comment on there as well? Thank you.

Thanks! Yeah that one took the most time out of anything I've ever made tongue.gif I'm happy with the outcome though which is awesome biggrin.gif

they're both very nice. the second one would be one KILLER desktop BG!

1920x1200...? never heard of that resolution, even on a widescreen monitor.. or is that just a size you used?. maybe you're using one of those 4:3 ratio widesreen monitors that wahoo has happy.gif

Well I went to http://halowars.com and found their largest screen res for a desktop background was 1920x1200 so I thought I would do the same smile.gif I actually had that 2nd one as my BG for a while and I want to get it printed and framed but the only prob is that that res prints out to about 25"x18" so I just need to find a place that will print that large.

if you manage to put it on a digital camera card(or MAYBE a cd), i believe most wal-marts have those printing stations.

Very nice, I like the second one, it has a nice feel to it. Especially the glass-ish effects.

Thanks! I'm glad you guys like them smile.gif

I LOVE the first one. Second one, IMO is okay, but it's good that you did it from scratch.
But the first one... love.gif
