yo i got a pioneer 111d, and verbatim dvd+r's just like im supposed to. but everytime i try to burn different backups. it will get to a certain % and the write speed will reduce to 0% and im stuck in a lock. Ive tried using DVD Decrypter, IMG Burn, and CloneCD. I even tried burning just a dvd movie iso with nero.. same problem. Ive upgraded the firmware already, any other advice would be much appreciated.

do you have your IDE cahnnels set to "DMA if availablle" ?

yes i do.

What are your jumpers set to? Pioneers (like most burners) prefer to be set as master. Also, you aren't using an old 40 wire IDE cable on your Pioneer are you (more than 5 years old)?

set jumpers for pioneer drive to master, still same problems.

what method are you using to make your ISO's?
