My setup -
MSI K8N Daimond
NEC 3550A

I flashed my xbox 360 (orig m25) with xtreme33

I have a big problem. Some games starts to boot and then just hangs! (backup games)
It happens in critical places like after "push start" or cinematic changes.
Sometimes screens gets all green and console hangs, soo I need to push power off to get it back online.
So far only 1 backup worked completly 100% fine (motogp)
Price of DL disk's in norway are almost 10$ each, and I have made like 5 copy's and non of them work.
Soo my big quastion is :
Does it happens becouse of :
1. I have burned with stock firmware on my dvd burner
2. I have done something wrong flashing
3. Source from wich I burned was something wrong with.
4. It is something wrong with my console

1. You will definitely need to update your burner's firmware. To my knowledge the 3550 doesn't set the booktype to DVD-ROM right out of the box. I suggest picking up the Liggy/Dee's booktype setting firmware. So you can set the booktype to DVD-ROM before burning. 2. What software are you using to burn the image? I personally recommend IMGBurn or DVD Decrypter. Both are great freeware apps and do a great job provided you create everything else properly.

ok, thank you very much. I have updated firmware on my burnerm but I need to wait until monday before I can test if it works. And I have been using latest version of the CloneCD, but personly I like dvddecrypter alitl bit more, have been using it for a long time.

It just soo strange that game starts, all backup works, it reads it, even the one I burned on 8x (originaly 2.4x)... but it hangs right after the start. I see intro video, and then hang... just cant get it how bitsetting can effect that, if xbox360 sayed @okey I like this disc@... and then it hangs?>.... very strange.

Yeah, that and crappy media would be the other suspect. Which media are you using?

I think media was okey. I was using Verbatim DL DVD+R 2.4x Made in Singapore
1 of 5 worked. But all starts, 4 of them just hangs.

Well, you are using the right media, so we need to trouble shoot with the other things that were mentioned.

Okey this is getting realy realy annoying! I cant get it to work
I have just flashed with X40A, and now I cant set it back to Mode0800 so I can flash it with something else...
It just wont set it self to the mode0800. I have tryed x33, x32, x40a - same problem, nothing changes...
Game start and hangs on exact same position (almost +/- 5 seconds) evry time.
Another strange thing happend - while I was testing arcade game installed my console crashed just as it does
when I try to play... and if its console error - my garantee is lost now right ?... how can I test to be 100% sure that its console error and that Im bumest ass in the world... (my borther has all original games, soo I dont have any at the moment)
