by formatted drive do you mean that there is nothing on it? If so then you will need to use xboxhdm to rebuild the drive with files from a slayers disk or kingroaches ndure PC installer.

if your xbox still boots games then you can softmod with auf. Then you can gain ftp access and reinstall dash files. But if you deleted all your c drive then i doubt it will boot a disc but idk you might be lucky.

If you truly formatted the hard drive, then you won't be able to boot anything.

i can boot up games and access my old saves i just have no dash im gonna rent auf in a couple days and fix my xbox finally its been broken for 2 years

well, I would say use softmod installer deluxe 4.5 knaves cause it installs a dashboard for you right after the softmodding process. Don't really worry I had the exact same problem as you did. Is there anyway you can copy the gamesave from the memory card to the xbox?

well no luck with the auf old version, so i just wasted 20 bucks and im getting rid of my xbox thanks anyways

This may sound stupid, but is it possible to get electrocuted while swapping ide cables? i dont have any alligator clips so i wont be using any grounding or anything

Also, am i right about the gamesaves going in E and dash in C?
