I don't know if i posted this in the right forum but, my modded xbox is picky when i want it to run games, it will run some of the games (such as splinter cell) but it wont run others ( eg. NHL 06) and if it does boot the game sometimes it freezes while its loading (MLB 2k6 did that). It has a Xenium 24k gold chip and evolution x as a dashboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the original show the same problems when the chip is off (or on, for that matter)?

If the originals exhibit the same symptoms with the chip off and the problem only occurs loading games on disc then the DVD drive may have a dirty or dying Laser
