i have a soft mod xbox that i did something kinda stupid and tried to re-install the xbox microsoft dashboard, soon as i reboot my system it gave me a error 06 or 21 not sure but the xbox still played xbox games through the drive. then took the unit apart to take out the hard drive and try and fix it. put the hard drive back in and now when i turn on my x box i get a on and off 2 or 3 times before it turns on and it does nothing? any ideas why it went from error service screen to nothing?

What exactly did you do to the HD to try and "fix" it?? . Are you sure you put everything back together again properly?, all cables plugged in etc.

i wasnt able to unlock the harddrive cause i didnt know the password (had someone else soft mod it two years ago) and i am pretty sure its all plugged in properly tho i have to check tommorrow i left the xbox at my cousins house.i have to take it apart and try a couple more passwords any ideas on what some of the common ones are so far i found "teamassembly"
