Just wanted to know if I can use my normal dvd burner to burn Xbox 360 backups... Also how do I find out which Sata Card I have in my pc

Thanks!
Havok
That drive should work fine... if you google the model of your motherboard it will tell you the specs including onboard SATA controller.

If you have an add on card already installed then you just physically look at the chips.

Yes you do. That motherboard does not have SATA at all.

Which drive do you have in the Xbox?? Hitachi or Samsung?

Then I can recommend a card.

Why does the DVD drive need to be connected via SATA?
