I've installed the xapter 3 with the smartXX chip on 1.6.

But Im having a problem...

My xbox wont turn on. BUT... If i unplug the hard drive and the dvd rom from the mother board... the xbox tries to boot. when they are plugged in... it wont even turn on..

anyone know what my problem could be?

if they are unplugged... i get the blue LEDs onthe xapter 3.... so i think that they are connected fine... but if i plug the rest of the xbox together nothing turns on... its like if its not even plugged in to a power source...

any help is greatly appreciated... thanks!

That's because this adapter is not designed to work with the smartXX ion a 1.6.

You should instead use the Spider 16 adapter, or better still solder it in place.
