Here's a nice little way to add a momentary switch to your 360, should you have a need for one.
Switches, grabbed from the buttons of an old mouse:
Locating some holes on the faceplate behind memory card 2:
Switch mounted with some 2-56 hardware:
Connector added to facilitate faceplate removal:
Hope this was helpful, enjoy.

how are you going to use it for a fw version. i think you should use something like this. I'm curious on this one. Nice work btw. It looks really professional.

it does the same thing... the mouse switch is just a button, not a lever. You press the mem door and the bottom of the door hits the button... makes the mem door feel like a mouse button.
For those that still dont get it, think dual bios and button activation

I not too sure what the point of this is, but since you put that switched in, how can you open the cover to put in your memory card if that switch is blocking that area.
And yes, obviously the 2nd memory card slot is no longer usable, but I've yet to find a need for the first one as it is.

Heh, don't confuse the poor kiddies 101.
For those of you that have no idea what this is for, it's used in conjunction with a dual firmware mod, allowing you to switch to the hacked firmware during the booting of a disc, and revert to a retail firmware afterward. The idea behind it is that it will circumvent any firmware checks that may occur while the game is running, if MS implements that in the future.

i think it would have been better in my opinion to mount the push button above the door in a way that leaves the door fully functional. to hit the switch ud push your finger in the door and up.

No one should even have a single mem card slot in use, let alone both.

well yeah sure, but if u can get the same thing done without removing the functionability of the console, why not?
itd be the same as only having 2 doors of a 4 door car that work when your single. sure you dont use the back 2 doors, but if it can be done in a way to keep all doors working, why wouldnt you

Its more like going from a 4 door car to a 2 Door car when you dont even drive in the first place. It integrates the switch cleanly.
I dont plan to ever own or use a mem card (let alone two)...so while it may not be for everyone... if you use two mem cards, feel free to mount a switch on the outside if you need one.
