Due to tampering?

if by tampering you mean...opening the case beyond the faceplate...it voids your warranty, and once that warranty is voided you cant expect MS to fix it?

what about even if you pay? i dont think theyll pass up more money.

I geuss if you pay them money....like proberly £100 they'll do it,

sony do it for ps2's just give em £40 and the ps2 and they'll fix it (£40 is if the warrenty if void or out of warrenty after the year) so i would expect them to definetly fix it for £100..but that is the lame thing that they would charge so much

Microsoft don't fix consoles that have had the warranty sticker removed. Period. They will only fix a console for a fee if the console has gone out of warranty and has not been tampered with.

the trick is not to void your warranty if you think you might have to use it. Know the risks and their consequences before you take them.
