When i boot Slayers 2.7, option 6 is 'greened' out. It says that video mode switch is disabled. How do i enable it?

It's greened out cause it's a dangerous option and you should know how to "un-green" it out if you really know what your doing.

What are you trying to do anyway? And why do you think you need to switch your video settings?

How do I upgrade to Slayers 2.7? I am running off of v2.6. I will be transferring it to the box via dvd2xbox.

Just an FYI. I soft-modded my Xbox a few months back with the Krayzie Ndure Installer v1.1.1. How is that in comparison with this installer?

Anyone knows when the slayer site is coming back up or the forum is it down for good?

hi everyone, hopefully someone here can help. i recently flashed my X2 with the wrong bios. I can hear audio but have no video. i have this version slayer's and can boot to it successfully. what i'm wondering is if someone could let me know from the initial slayers dash, what button presses i need to make to navigate to the bios file i need to flash which is X2-4983.67 OFFICIAL. remember, i can't see any video.

How can I edit the ISO so that I can enable the Video Mode Switcher?

p.s. - in the mean time.. if you wanna try and help yourself. since you know your disk boots up just fine I suggest booting the xbox up with the disk and then connecting to it through FTP from your computer. the slayer disk automatically gives it an ip so based on your router and wat port u have it plugged into it should be sometihng like 192.168.1.101 or 192.168.1.102 or ... 192.168.1.xxx.

Anyways, once your connected, reconfigur ur dashboard so that it loads evox and remap the layout of the buttons so that the first button is ur flash bio's button to watever bios you want. I did that with my evox since the bio's I wanted to flash weren't working from the disk, i ftp'd them to the xbox and remapped the buttons so it was in the main screen when the xbox loads and then all i had to do was wait a few seconds to make sure everything was booted and then just press A.

Hey ankhneter, this may not work but try switching out the video cables to HD or the other way around. I just put in a SmartXX chip and didnt realize that the box had been set to HD so when i used regular cables i got sound but a black screen and then i put HD cables on and all was well. hope it helps

My XBOX died a few days ago, so I bought a new one, had a new chip installed and Evolution bios installed.

Now I cannot find a autoinstall iso anywhere (slayers or auto-install deluxe), does anyone now where to get it, or maybe someone can post it on usenet somewhere?

Ok well, I've managed to download Auto-installer deluxe.
But now I run into the folowing issue:

I burned the image using DVD-decrypter to a cd-rw, but the XBOX doesnt read the CD.
So I bought DVD-RW's and also here the same problem.

Anyone knows what to do best?

my xbox is modded and does not load evo x,enigmah etc..
it shows a error message telling that 'The original xbox game is not supported on your xbox'
so i have updated the xbox with backward compatibility update but still it shows the same message.

I've just downloaded the 2.7 auto install. Also , just registered and a newbie. I'm not sure if I'm in the right form either.
If any one can direct me as to where I can get info as to correctly install this to my xbox from my computer I would be grateful.
I used winrar to open the exe file and have the popup screen that has "install" button on my computer screen. I'm reluctant to click it until I have more info.

Are you trying to use slayers on a 360 if so stop you gonna cause a chain reaction of destruction that will destroy the earth. Slayers is meant for xbox1

And dags76 its been awhile since i had to make a copy of slayers but i think thats part of the process it installs a iso that you then burn to a dvd-r and boot on your xbox

so which version of evolution x i should use my friend?
or else can i use some other program like evo x on my xbox 360?

is your XBOX1 softmodded or chipped?
remember this disc is no good for the xbox360.
if your xbox1 is softmodded then you cant use slayers,this disc will only work with a chipped machine.

Hi, I am new to the scene. I have a version 1.1 with the xecutor chip installed. My question is can I lock and unlock a retail hd from another xbox in my modded one?

Hi. I hope somebody can help me with this. I've been using Slayer's EvoX auto insaller 2.7 for many years now on my crystal XBOX 1.6. No problems.

But last week I decided to upgrade the hard drive from the 80GB I was using to a 250GB. I installed from the slayer disc as normal but realised I had to flash the bios too as the hard drive was over 137GB. I did that and noticed the xbox "X" icon on the boot up screen had changed colour to blue and the lights on the front of the box changed to permanent RED. At first I thought I'd messed up the bios but it was working OK. I formatted the G: drive and it found the extra space.

Is this supposed to happen (i.e. lights change to RED)?

Also, when the lights change to red I noticed the fan's pitch goes higher, presumably it's spinning faster. Problem is it's much more noisy. Is this supposed to happen too?

What I want to do is reduce the fan speed back to when the usual green light is on. Is there a way to do this or do I have to reflash the bios back to the one I was using before and abandon the idea of using a larger hard drive?

You've flashed a BIOS with a modified set of logo colours, and modified LED, and with the fan set to run quicker. Just flash a BIOS that has the logo, LED and fan speed you want. Which BIOS you can use depends on which chip you have on your Xbox.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I've just booted up the Slayer disc again. I noticed there was this option,

(7b15) Flash MOD V1.6 m8 plus 16.06 50% fan.

Does this mean fan at 50% LESS speed or half speed?


The option I flashed was (7b4) Flash MOD only on 1.6 w/EvoX-M8 v16 *FC* F:&G:

The MOD chip I have is an Xecuter 2.6

With an Xecuter 2.6 I'd use X2.5035 1.6, because you can change the flubber, fan etc. from a text file on the E partition, instead of having to edit the BIOS and reflash.

I'm glad I am not the only one still messing up his xbox 1.

After a long time and perhaps the wrong places to search, I finally came across with the slayer 2.7 autoinstaller.

I tried to install XBMC as main dashboard (retail hdd) and it wouldn't start. I managed to boot from the slayer DVD and managed to install Avalaunch, which worked ok.

Then I gave it another try installing XBMC and now I'm stuck. The dashboard wont start, neither any disc, copy, slayer or original games.

How do I get around this? Help please?!??

I'm trying to set up a new hdd on my v1.6 xbox, and I'd like to use files from Slayer's v2.6. My question is, after extracting the iso, where can I find the stock C\ files?

I appreciate your help! I'm using v2.6 because that's the first one I was able to locate and the readme says it's v1.6 compatible.
