Of course Monster Cable isn't a bad deal if you have a friend that works at Best Buy.

Monster cable is a good product. The company also makes guitar amp cables which have lifetime warranties. Maybe these HDMI cable will too.

But its $100, if i can buy a HDMI cable for $3, i'm willing to buy another $3 cable if it breaks, and thats $6,

Monster's consumer AV cables are a COMPLETELY different division then their Musician equipment, they're also a completely different division then their Car audio equipment.

I've had countless monster AV cables just flat out fall apart on me... I can take a picture of the $40 Optical cable I have that just up and stopped working one day only to find that the cable literally just split itself apart at the seams.

I do agree that their musicians equipment its top notch. back when I was in a band I used nothing but their cables.

Even if you gave me that $100 monster HDMI I'd still go out and buy one from monoprice to use.... Monster's home entertainment cables are just complete and utter garbage.

Since it's a digital signal an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable. You either get a signal or you don't. Nothing in the middle.

$5 or $100 you'll get the same result so long as you get a signal. It's exactly the same with optical cables. You'll always find someone who will pay the money thinking it has the same affect as with analog cable.
