The problem is I have been selling items but my mercantile skill never goes up (minor skill). I have been stuck on level 20 for days and the bar just stays empty. I think it was cause by one of two things: 1) i think it happened after I did the mission where you return the daughter back to the store owner of northern goods and trades i think and she gives you a +5 for your mercantile skill. or 2) it's because i have done the duplicating glitch to many times to sell items to shop owners. I tried empting the cache but that didn't help

Has anyone experienced this problem or know what to do to fix it. Also I don't have live hooked up yet so I don't have any of the updates installed.

not a huge pro here.. but can minor skills go above 20?

yeah it can my athletic skill is a 52 and thats a minor skill

Never mind.....I made an amulet fortify my mercantile skill and it bumped it up. Hopefully it will keep going up.

.....nope, as soon as i take the amulet it drops right back to 20........any ideas?

If you want to level up your mercantile skill fast, dupe a inexpensive item, and then sell tons of it.

Take Mercantile training.

As he said their are trainers 4 this at certain levels
