i was planning on paying somebody to flash my Samsung Premium 360 but i wanted to know if i can burn my own originals for back ups using my own laptop that i didn't use for flashing? also i have a dual layer dvd burner, not sure what booktype setting means, so what do i need? thanks

No. You will need to use the 360 drive for backing up....or buy a SH-D162C CD drive....it can be flashed with Kreon's firmware which allows easy backing up. Mine is in an external case that attaches to my laptop or desktop via USB.
