Note:
This will be the last release from me until early next year. I recently got a new job that's going to move me across the country. So it will be a couple months before I get settled (or get internet access). I won't have any time to put towards ZsnexBox, but development will resume in January.

Nes, thanks for the release. When you DO get a chance to make another release can you add the following: two or three preview panes that can show two or three bitmap/jpeg/whatever images for each game I scroll through?
Meaning when I scroll through and get to say "super mario world" I'd like to see:
The box art
The cartridge
A screen shot of the title screen or whatever
If that's too complicated I understand, but I just thought it would be nice. I have all the images already, but I don't have the ability/knowledge/time to code.
Thanks.

Does znes have online play or whatever? I know that a nes emu i have has an emulator... I'm new to this particular emulator but I think it would be great to have it where I could play online against friends and stuff and even be able to use my xbox headset...

I guess that it would be complicated. Surreal 64 XXX supports that because the N64 game library is fairly small, but the SNES game library is huge, a lot of work would be needed.
EDIT:It might not be so complicated if the image files have the same name as the rom, or something like that.

Ouch no new releases in two months or more, itīs a pity

, but as allways great update.
The only think i could request now is an update to a newer core. Iīve heard that new zsnes wip version will be more compatible due to the job done in bsnes

Good luck with your new job and good holiday too

Good luck in the new job. We all appreciate the time and hard work invested in this project, it is arguably the best non-xport emulator.
If it turns out that you dont have enough time to work on this project in January, if it is not already open-sourced please consider doing so.
I hate to see projects EOL because the authors leave the scene.

I'm sticking with an older, inferior XBox emulator just to be obstinate!
I refuse to switch to Zsnexbox until it can do my taxes and give me head!
And they call this feature-complete! Sheesh!

A big "Thanks" firstly...
Secondly, best of luck with the new job, don't envy you on doing a move for it but one must go where the work (and cash) is.
Lastly, just one thing would be sweet to add on the new years release. Could you work it so that the custom / classic music player saves details of the song it was playing last so it could use it when it next boots up. At the moment the 'skin' seems to take over on the next boot and resume it's own music.
If it's possible then great, if not then no problems....It's merely a cosmetic thing for this old lazy gamer

the boxart has to be named exactly like the rom and should be in your artwork folder I have all of mine in slot 1, make sure your paths.ini file points to the correct path and it should work.

Been a few months since i installed the latest build even though i have most certainly been downloading them.Lots of super changes since i last tried Nes's latest amazing port work , from the inclusion of the new music player for Snes SPC and other machines , to minor changes for the better(having the game list highlight in the middle is a nice update).
Great work Nes

Put in some effort and study a few previous posts about zsnexbox and exactly what it is, and you will find the answer.

I've got a very specific request..
There's a version of the Mortal Kombat 2 rom for the Snes named Mortal Kombat 2 BETA. What's so speacial about it you ask? You can perform fatality's during the match! Yes that's right, at
any time during the match.
Read the description here:
http://mkshin.mortalkombatonline.com/browse.php?game=mk2Anyway, the BETA rom doesn't work in ZSNEXbox. Is it possible to make it work in a future release? This version is far superior to any other MK2 rom!
Thx for all your hard work so far

Have you tried any earlier versions of Zsnexbox ie version 1.2 as the earlier versions were based on a newer version of the Zsnes code so some games such as Top Gear 3000 etc work on these but not on the newer version of the Xbox emu which uses an older but more stable version of the code.
EDIT: Btw, after Xmas or some time after that a new version will come out that uses a newer (maybe latest) version of the core code so if it works on Zsnes on the PC it should (maybe) work on this new version when it's out. There's no time line on the release so don't ask, Nes6502 has just moved job and location so work on the emu is stopped until after the new year.
