I was screwing around with my backup xbox360 the other day and the SATA connector on the mobo pulled off when I unplugged the SATA cable. The small 7 PIN connectors broke as well.
Anyone have any ideas how I can get a connector solder back on or just solder the SATA cable straight to the mobo.
I have not had much time but I think I can solder the 7 small wires to solder into the SATA cable.
Just thought someone might have another idea.
Thanks

Just an update that may help folks out.
Since this Xbox 360 was broken (SATA motherboard connector broken off) I never really had time to fix it.
I finally took the time and found a supplier that had the 7Pin Sata Vertical connectors.
I first cleaned the 7 holes removing the old broken pins and cleaned the holes of solder.
I then used the new connector and soldered the underside and I now have a working Xbox 360 again.
While I had it apart I went ahead and completed the X-Clamp replacement.
I figured it would eventually get hot, 2 out of my 3 Xbox 360's have gotten the Ring of Death.
Here is the part number and location for anyone interested:

Bro the same exact thing happened to me today. What exactly did you do to fix problem? I was just unplugging the sata cord from my dvd drive and the entire thing came off.
